Christmas Baking/Decorating 2013

GG came up to help with cookie decorating.  Omi stirred up the dough and manned the oven.  Auntie Heather, Uncle Josh and Auntie Bethanie handled the super shooter.  Claire, Brody and Max did the decorating, using their own creative juices.  Max had a tendency to overdue on the sugar.  Claire made sure each little decoration was placed beautifully.  Brody made sure everyone was on task.  He was very happy to have an apron to wear, since Claire brought her own cupcake apron!
Uncle Sean and Uncle Josh were in charge of ordering pizza for lunch!  Uncle Sean also made the Cranberry Pudding with Butter Cream Sauce, his first time.
The noise level grew with each lick of sugar off their fingers and sample of baked cookies.

Auntie Bethanie was the shooter pro.   She shot the majority of the 70 dozen we made!
Auntie Heather found the heart pattern and gave that a try.  We normally do Christmas trees, poinsettias, and "lines".  Lines are the favorite of everyone we know.  Uncle Josh gets involved when he notices Max's over-sugaring technique.
Here he is showing Claire and Brody the "tap tap" technique of sugar sprinkling!
Auntie Whitney is quality control on the decorating side of cookie making.  Note the tongue action.

We also made Coffee Swirl (6), Gingerbread people (10 dozen), Chex mix and Cranberry Pudding with Butter Cream Sauce.  Uncle Barry was not able to be with us - he was on an interview for his Med School program.  Maverick was running around eating cookies when nobody was looking and keeping out of camera view.  Mara slept most of the morning, but did enjoy the pizza and cookies!  Thanks everyone, Papa and I couldn't have done it without you - plus you made it such fun!!
