Snow Day 2015

Max, Claire & Mara got all dressed up to slide!  Nice sunny & warm day in January!
Claire couldn't stop smiling and laughing and squealing.  She's big enough to do it all by herself.
Max was a little skeptical at first, but got into tricks and bold moves by the end.
He especially liked it when he could get all the way across the road to GG's yard.
Omi went down with them over, and over, and over, and over, and over.
Claire made an attempt to go down without sled, but it was pretty sticky snow.
Mara did not want to go down, but I kinda tricked her into it.
Then it was - again, again, again, again.  Then daddy talked her into going down alone!!
She was such a big girl that she walked up the hill every time.
Sailing down solo.
Here we go again.
Our sliding crew!  Yea winter!  Yea snow!  Yea January!

Ring around the Rosy, baby!

All 3 kids on a school vacation day.  Ring around the Rosy and go crazy.
Papa gets in on the action.
He's pretty good at it, except the "all fall down" part.
I'm not a photographer, but I think this is a pretty cool shot with 2 fuzzy in action and 1 clear smiler.

Welcome to the World, lil' shaver! Wesley George Docken is born!

Wesley George Docken was born on January 15, 2015.  He weighed 5# 15oz, and he was 20" long.  He is a very healthy little boy.
Here are Wesley's mama and papa.  They love him so much already!
Omi proudly displays her 7th grandchild, 5th grandson.  Oh my!  What a blessing!
The Docken Family of 5.
Claire and Max are loving on their new baby brother.
Max is obsessed with him.  He is "tute" and he kisses him over and over.  (and over)
Papa takes his turn at holding the new baby.  Claire is watching closely.
Not to be outdone, Max wants his picture taken too.
Proud Papa Jeff.
Couldn't resist more than one visit, more than one snuggle with Wesley.
Snuggle, snuggle, baby Wesley with big brother, Max.
Wesley's nurse is trying to get some burps out.
Wesley is looking fine in his little boy clothes.
Claire specially picked her outfits for both her hospital visits so the photos would look great!

Jefferson heads home to start his life as little brother...

Here is our precious bundle ready to head home from the hospital.  His little NB outfit fits him to a T.
All ready for bed on his first night at home.  He went home after 24 hours.
While Bethanie was resting and Omi was making dinner, Maverick took some quiet time to have a look at the new baby!  What a great little Christmas present under the tree, right?
Daddy and Brody are happy to have him home.  Brody was very excited to rock Jefferson in his new rocking chair in his room.
Brothers - Broden, Maverick & Jefferson
Jefferson in his new little cap from friend, Ashley (baby Grant's mama)...
...and matching shirt embroidered with his name.  He was 4 days old and Omi had to go home to Minnesota.  The trip home was not nearly as fun as the trip to Roanoke.  But I'll be back when he has his 1 month birthday!
Photo shoot.  Matching superhero shirts.  Might as well get used to it, Jefferson, superheroes are in your future big time!
Bethanie sends me pics of him every day.  He's a snuggler and very photogenic!
Unbelievable!  Maverick is a little peanut (2 3/4 years old), and look how big he is with Jefferson!
Ah, peace.

Introducing Jefferson Docken Park

Jefferson Docken Park was born on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 3:02 p.m.  He weighed 7# 9oz.  He was 20 1/4" long.  He is a beautiful, healthy baby boy.  Mommy & Daddy are doing well, too.
Jefferson is a cutie.
Got some clothes on that baby, he has little red blotches on his face, very common they say.  Nice soft, shiny black hair.
Ladies volunteer to knit little hats for the babies.  A little loose for his tiny head!
This was Maverick & Brody's reaction when I told them that their baby brother was born!!  They kept making these faces every time I mentioned Jefferson.
Omi made a last minute decision to fly to Roanoke to be there for Jefferson's birth.  I am SO glad that I did!  I was able to be there the night before Bethanie & Barry had to go to the hospital to be induced.  I was there in the morning to take care of Maverick & Brody for the day and overnight.  We had a fun day of projects and waiting for texts from Mommy & Daddy to let us know how things were going - and when baby would be born.  And here he is in my arms.  There is nothing like that feeling - a new little grandbaby in my arms right after birth!!
I brought the boys to the hospital to meet their new brother.  They think he is so precious.  They are so gentle with him and kiss him on his tiny head.
Here he is - Jefferson Docken Park.  My 6th grandchild and 4th grandson!!  God is so good.
