Jeff and I traveled back to Fripp Island, South Carolina in April. We had a beautiful week. The weather could have been a tiny bit hotter, but we relaxed anyway. We found our first ever sand dollar.
We were so excited to find that first sand dollar I can't even tell you. We have searched for one for years at many different beaches. We walked and walked and walked and walked. We found it on a deserted part of the beach by all the big houses on the island. Look how brown (sand colored) it is! It will turn white in direct sunlight.
Then, even crazier, we ended up finding 5 that same day on the same piece of beach. One for each of our grandchildren!
I never get tired of walking the beach and looking for and finding all kinds of sea shells. It wasn't warm enough to lay in the sun or even sit in the sun under the umbrella, so we walked instead - great exercise. Wish the weather in Minnesota would cooperate and we could continue walking at home!
Jeff got himself into some trouble with the local wildlife. There really are alligators in the ponds and marshes on the island, but this one was for photo ops only.
He really liked me!
Hello, Fripp Island! Nice to see you again! Thanks for the memories, the sand and surf...
