Omi Farm Daycare
Thought it was so precious that Claire and Brody decided to have quiet time on the couch with books, babies, drawing and a shared blanket.
Sometimes Aunt Sue is able to visit over her lunch break. This day she helped the kids have a blanket picnic with PBJs and peaches. Doesn't look like chaos at all, does it? We are experts at hiding that!
Garden Walk
On Sunday, the kids and grandkids walked with Papa and I in the Webster Harvest Days parade, campaigning for Jeff for Rice County Commissioner. After the parade, snacks and a nap, we all trekked out to our garden to investigate the pumpkins, gourds, baby Indian corn and Broom corn. It is busy with produce for Harvest decorations, should be ready in a month! The kids absolutely LOVED finding each piece of produce!! Maverick's in a photo too, as a shadow with his mama, the photographer!

Fun at the Lake Day
Turned out to be a cool Friday that we visited the lake, so we all had sweatshirts on.
But the sun was shining and we had fun - AND a picnic out on the lake. Not sure what
Claire and Brody were cooking up in the photo below, but look out...
Maverick joined in the fun too, all snuggly warm with Mama, and then on the way home with Brody in matching airplane sweatshirts!

Summer Fun
Claire and Max spent the morning at the Burnsville play area. Looks like Max is driving Claire in a parade.
Claire is showing GG how the cloth "paper" girls work. They have lots of dresses and accessories, and this is a very fun project.
We spent the day at the Burnsville waterpark with the Park family. Max and Maverick decided to take a shady rest.
Max is so busy learning motor skills. This writing board is one of his favorites. He gets the writing part, the magnetic shape part AND the erasing part!

Claire & Max spend the night with Papa & Omi
Papa and Omi had Claire and Max at the lake for the weekend while Daddy and Mama were at the fancy Starkey Foundation Gala Fundraiser. We had such fun, just the four of us! It was only 72 degrees, but the sun was warm! Max and Papa share a moment on the soft grass with their caps and shades! They were gazing at the lake while Claire and Omi got a picnic ready for our pontoon ride. Max got a couple of turns driving the pontoon, and then Claire had a BLAST learning how to steer and deciding where we were going to go. There were only about 2 other boats on the lake that day. They took great naps and slept through the night, although Claire was "all done sleeping" a little early for a Sunday morning!! They went to church with us and Claire loved the group of children that sang and acted out songs from their Bible Camp. (she is a Bible Camp pro!) Even though I take care of them both every weekday, this little vacation felt very different, and we had such fun with them. Papa and I agreed that we are so truly blessed to have these opportunities to be with our wonderful grandchildren often. We sure love them!!
