Yesterday was Claire's 11 month birthday! How is that possible? One of the reasons I know this so clearly is that every time I am out with Claire, someone stops me and comments on Claire and asks how old she is. It's fun and cute and an honor for someone to take a moment out of their day to comment on someone else. It makes me think that we should all do more of that, if we don't already (namely, my husband, Grandpa Jeff, who does this ALL the time). Notice people, young or old - make a comment about how cute they are, how nice they look today, what a great outfit they are wearing, what a beautiful day that God created. I know it sure makes Claire and I feel good when people do this to us. When I was out with Brody recently, MANY people stopped to look at him and ask how old he was and congratulate Bethanie on him. WOW. Give it a try. This could be a little special thing you do for Lent, as we approach Holy Week. Lent shouldn't be just about sacrifice, it should be about doing extras, thinking of others (our brothers and sisters in Christ). Everybody wins!
May God Bless you and yours as we enter the week that our Lord died for us and rose again. As Father E always said, He came to pay a debt He didn't owe, because we owed a debt we couldn't pay.
